The brief gameplay footage on Steam shows a massive scale battle, similar to the old Star Wars Battlefront 2 battles. Disputed Space boasts 30 levels of vivid, procedurally-generated environments, and a well-developed flight system with which to explore them.

In the official announcement, ShilohGames said it would allow fans of Disputed Space to spot problems and provide feedback that will be incorporated into the game via updates – a very popular move with smaller developers. Being able to connect with the player base can really help a game to develop into the most fun version of itself.

If you’re interested in space battles and want to be part of this project as it moves forward, you can check out Disputed Space on Steam for $4.99.
